Beautiful Wings

Sometimes nature is cooperative, and these are the times that we get to capture the splendour of these winged beauties.

Not only did it gave me a side profile ...

... but it opened its beautiful wings as well.

My apologies. This was posted before, long time back but I kind of admired the colour contrast of the dragonfly against the flower and the wings, beautiful in its own right - funtional simplicity.

Absolutely amazing photos. Are you a professional photographer? Do you sell your photos? They're gorgeous.

The butterfly has gorgeous wings. Gifts always come to us unexpectedly.

dweezeljazz, no I am not a professional photographer. I am far, far from that stage. My "reward" is being able to capture a small part of the natural beauty to share with all.

ladyhawk, yes I so agree with it. The best is usually when least expected and we hold our breath wondering if we can get the camera out in time.

asther, cool yah? Glad you liked it too.

moggie, have not got my butterfly identification book yet. Still no sign of it at Nature Owlet when I went there last Sat.
