Birdie Tale - Chestnut-naped Forktail that is...

It was a chirpy bird and moved fast. Managed to get some decent shots under the challenging light conditions and this hyper-jumpy bird made it no easier to get a lock on either.

Sun came out briefly for me to get this pretty shot.

This one had something in its beak...

Was a frog! Or rather only half of it.

Its young had frog-legs for lunch.

Different Lowland Pitcher-plant

I have passed this trail many time but have never seen these there before. Perhaps it was due to the fact that I disliked that part of the trail and go through it pretty fast.

Nice discovery (tho not by me) and certainly made it worthwhile taking out the camera (finally!).

Aerial Tioman

Tioman from a rarely seen angle.

Fave place to bunk down & lepak; Panuba Resort:

Tokong Burong; Quite far from Tioman but dived here once in bad vis. It was supposed to be a fantastic dive site.

Renggis Island; Just off the shores from Berjaya Resort. Popular with both Scuba divers and snorkelers.

Batu Malang (Rock); Good dive site and also popular with snorkelers.

Owls @Carey Island

Barred-eagle (Juvenile?) Owl

Aww... so cute..

Looks like it was screaming out to us like, "leave me alone!!"

Barn Owl. Looks so grouchy.
Although we spotted a lot of barn owls, they are spooked easily so only managed to get one (blur) shot.

Wood Owl.

Giving us the stare!

Don't mess around with these razor sharp talons!

The gorgeous & magnificent Flame of the Forest against the dark & rainy morning sky.

Closer look at the flowers...

Tide's out and so are the people for a stroll or collecting mussels/clams etc.

The monkey on the left was making eye gestures at the other monkey.
