Highlands Petaled Beauties

One of the amazing and beautiful orchids found in the garden of the good doctor in the highlands. Looks like just another bunch of flowers but wait till you look closer...

... this is what the tiny flowers look like up close. Beautiful oui?

Another small flower orchid. Sorry I don't know the names of orchids.

Oh, this is really, really tiny being less than 2 mm across but it was an orchid! World's smallest? I don't know. I just know I took no less than 20 shots and this was the best I could do. Now it looks more like an alien ripping itself out from its host...

Lily stigma with the pollen all ready to .. err.. pollinate.

This looks like some alien mothership coming down from the sky.. hehe.
The crystalline petals look so lovely with backlight.

Another beautiful flower... oops, I mean Orchid la!

A bunch of small orchids.

Ok, this has no relation to orchids or flowers for that matter but it landed nearby as I was shooting the orchids and I managed to get one a shot of it before it flew off.

Milo .. come along the next time we make a quick hop up. The air is lovely and the flowers absolutely gorgeous as you can see from the photos and its an absolute challenge to capture some of them 'cos they are so tiny ... miniscule even.
