A Gentle Leopard

A pleasant encounter with the gentle and graceful Leopard Shark. This one is about 2 meters long with the tail nearly half of the overall length.

Compress was something you did to the garbage
Not something you did to a file.
And if you unzipped anything in public
You'd be in jail for awhile.

Log on was adding wood to the fire
Hard drive was a long trip on the road
A mouse pad was where a mouse lived
And a back up happened to your commode.

Cut you did with a pocket knife
Paste you did with glue
A web was a spider's home
And a virus was the flu.

I guess I'll stick to my pad and paper
And the memory in my head
I hear nobody's been killed in a computer crash
But when it happens, they'll wish they were dead.

Non Touristy Places (Almost)

One of the many scenes enroute to Brinchang (highest peak in Cameron Highlands at 6,666 feet). This is part of the Boh Tea Plantation.

Spiders here are colourful, in addition to big! This one looks like its re-enforcing the web.


Bugged-eyed! I was told it is a hover-fly.
It certainly did hover and was zig-zagging around before landing on a branch.


Didn't stick around long though. Here it is taken off again into the Mossy Forest.

Heart of 287 Thousand Kilometers

Having travelled the whole of Peninsular Malaysia (except for Perlis), the old heart finally gave in to "abuse". Come mid-September this year, it would have been exactly 10 years in service.



It had served well.

Really? Of course not. According to Moggie, it is Dendrochilum Smilie ... or Smeagol's cousin (again kidding). It is tiny so best way to see it is with a magnifying glass or take a digital pic and enlarge it as i have done here:

Happy 80th

The school was named after the apostle Paul. We were part of the La Salle schools, run by ordinary folks achieving extraordinary feats. They were the La Salle Brothers.


Those who had studied there were "Old Paulians". Some were really old. Oldest that night was age 88 years.

Here they get paid and get a bod most can only dream about.

Under the Seas of Perhentian (Part Five) - Stingers

Lionfish at the bottom near the Sugar Wreck.


Scorpionfish. Beware when you are close to the wreck. These are very well camouflaged and quite common around the wreck.

Puffers aplenty at the Sugar Wreck. There was even a formation of 8 hovering just off the wreck that looked like a fleet of Intergalactic Battlecruisers.
