Taiping Night Zoo - Creatures Part 1 of 2

The Slow Loris - Cutie peeking and maybe thinking, " Oh no. Here comes another bunch of tourists and I'll be seeing spots the whole night!"

Unlike the other Noctural animals, this Binturong wouldn't give a damn. He looks super comfy just dangling on that narrow branch. Even when the keeper came to feed them, the food almost had to be fed into the mouth.

Bat coming in for his meal.

It was wonderful to see the lions so active unlike the day when they would just lie under the shade. This majestic creature's roar is truly a sound to behold.

Flower ... Orchid la..

Some picks from the temp shop set up at the Birdpark parking lot as the Orchid Garden was still closed for renovation.

More pics will be posted up to http://divemuster.fotopic.net

Like a spanish dancer twirling to the flamenco..

Bent Pillar of Colors

By the time my camera was out, the light had faded and this was the image recorded. Not as good as Moggie's and Ladyhawk's.

On the Lotuspad

Water drops can be so fascinating.

On closer inspection, it is like a crystal ball .. but no future to be foretold here. Just reflections from the canopy above, and a silly mugshot reflection if you get close enough.

Grace & Power

What's masculine for Ladybug?

Dragonfly eyes and wings are so fascinating in details.

Furl & Curl

Like a new carpet rolling open, but nature's beauty cannot be duplicated.

Taking cue from Moggie & Ladyhawk and coming up with a simple subject.

Very tiny but pretty flower

This pretty and delicate flower would probably be trampled by just about anyone. Why? It is so tiny on the ground that one can hardly notice it. It was no bigger than 3 mm.

Here's a frontal shot up close... but not too personal.

Eeee... Incy-Wincy Spider

This little bugger first landed on my cap ...
Four eyes? Six perhaps?

He had hopped on my arm and was staring right up my 90mm lens.
Big Canon was pointing down right at it... maybe that's why his eyes looked like its popping out.

Nature's Display of Power

For a long time I had wanted to capture in pictures the awesome power from nature. I finally had the opportunity and equipment at the same place & time. This was the result after 141 shots of empty sky.

Where are we going?

Wanna go somewhere but don't know where to go? Here's a solution for you...
Checkout the destination of Mexicana Flt#129 on the 6th line;

Cutie creatures

Caught this fella at Port Orleans Resort, Orlando. Gave me a brief stare and then proceeded to nibble at his breakfast ... ie. the berries just above.

This one was closer to home... in fact it was just next to my house! This 'musang' (civet-cat) was happily munching away at the 'jambu-air' fruit from my neighbour's garden until I snooped to snap this. Doesn't look too pleased with paparazzis'...

... hence the haste getaway.

Grand entrance by Shamu and one of the handlers.

Flying the Shamu way...

Florida, Sunny State

Looks like they don't always get things right in the US. This house either has been hit hard by a fantastic storm, or built that way just to attract attention. It did our attention to warrant us to get the driver to stop so we could snap some shots.
